Launch of the Red Alert Campaign in collaboration with Ministry of Climate Change Pakistan on June 7th, 2021

To commemorate World Environment Day 2021, Save the Children in collaboration with the Ministry of Climate Change launched a “Red Alert Campaign” on climate change and environmental conservation on June 7th, 2021. The Red Alert campaign is geared towards placing child rights and voices at the center of the climate crisis.
The launch of the Red Alert campaign was inaugurated by the Honorable Minister for Climate Change, Mr. Malik Amin Aslam. Honorary Guest Speakers included H.E. Bernhard Schlagheck, the German Ambassador to Pakistan; H.E. Wendy Gilmour, the Canadian High Commissioner; Mr. Richard Snelsire, the US Acting Deputy Chief of Mission; and Mr. Amir Ramzan, Country Director of the British Council in Pakistan.
Through this campaign, the youth of Pakistan urges all world leaders to protect their rights & futures by increasing collective steps to cut down CO2 emissions, take climate adaptation initiatives and to restore nature.
